Northern Kentucky Workforce Investment Board

The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) calls for the establishment of a local Workforce Investment Board (WIB). The WIB membership must be at least 50% from the private sector. In addition, the "local elected official", a role currently served by the NKADD Board of Directors, works in partnership with the WIB to meet the employment needs of the community. The WIB is responsible for:

  • Management of the local Northern Kentucky One Stop efforts, including selection of operator(s) and providers
  • Maintenance of a performance driven system for documenting accomplishment of standards
  • Selection of youth service providers, Identification of eligible providers of training services
  • Provide oversight of budget status, audits, contract status

Northern Kentucky WIB Meeting Dates
The Northern Kentucky WIB meets on the second Tuesday of alternate months. Meetings for fiscal year 2011 are:

  • July 12, 2011 at 8:30am
  • September 13, 2011 at 8:30am
  • November 8, 2011 at 8:30am
  • January 10, 2012 at 8:30am
  • March 13, 2012 at 8:30am
  • May 8, 2012 at 8:30am
